MEMORY FOR THE FUTURE - 40 Years Of Ikona Gallery Venice

The Ugo and Olga Levi Foundation has produced the exhibition Memory for the future. 40 years of Ikona Gallery a Venice: with over 55 posters and 16 photographs of the likes of Gisèle Freund, Rosalind Fox Solomon, Arnold Kramer, Paolo Monti, Franco Fontana, Adolphe de Meyer, Robert Doisneau, Helen Levitt, Felice Blessed, Chuck Freedman, John Batho, Martine Franck, Dino Pedriali, Lary Clark, Ferdinando Scianna and Alberto Bevilacqua, wisely placed in the poetic installation by Simone Serlenga and Elena Veronese, the exhibition shows the dense network of collaborations and knowledge and reconstructs the history of a gallery that, from early beginnings to date, marked the history of photography in Venice, thanks to Živa Kraus who conceived it and direct.
